CPCCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)

CPCCWHS1001 – This unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others.

A white card (or general construction induction card) is required for workers who want to carry out construction work. People who need a white card include site managers, supervisors, surveyors, labourers and tradespeople. According to the National Code of Practice for Induction for Construction Work, the people who need a White Card include:

• Construction labourers
• Tradespeople
• Site Managers
• Site Supervisors
• Surveyors
• People who access operational construction zones unaccompanied and unsupervised.
