This course is suitable for participants who wish to gain the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

 

It is suitable for participants who desire to have and apply the skills and knowledge relating to the unit of competency in both the community setting and the workplace.

 

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment


There are no pre-requisites for this unit competency.

Once enrolled, you will be provided access to our online portal where you will be required to complete your online Multiple Choice Quiz prior to attend your practical training day. This online quiz should take you no more than 1 – 3 hours.

 

You will then be required to attend your 1 day practical training / assessment day.

 

This involves attending our training centre located in Bankstown for a presentation and practical demonstration to develop your skills and knowledge followed by theory and practical assessment.

 

HLTAID009 -Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. NIL

 

COSTS $140 per person

PREREQUISITES none

DURATION  1.5 Days 

 

 

 

HLTAID012 – Provide an emergency First Aid response in an education and care setting

 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency, including asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies. 

 

COSTS $170 per person

PREREQUISITES none

DURATION  2 Days

The practical of the course is held in our Bankstown training facility
